VESPER.5

Made for a Super Friendship Club Pageant with the theme "ritual": thread.

In this game, you may take one step each day, and then you must wait for the next day. If you wish to complete the game, you will have to make it a part of your life for at least 100 days. Make a ritual out of it. How will you incorporate it into your daily schedule? Will you tie it to an existing activity? Will you treat it as a ritual or merely a routine? Will you add to the ritual, embellishing it in your own way, making it yours? Meditate, say a prayer, think back over what has happened while you have been playing? Will you approach it alone or share it with another?

Is it worthwhile? You'll have to answer that for yourself.

It's a pilgrimage. It's very simple, but it does have choice in it; even the smallest decisions have their consequences amplified when you can only move daily.

    I don't really understand what happened today, but I have some theories. We'll see how they pan out in a few weeks.

    Also, nice touch on having the tiles randomized for each person (but fixed each time you open the game). It gives the game an individualized feel that you really notice, since you spend so much time looking at the same stuff.

    Been playing it for awhile now. My girlfriend doesn't understand what it is. I'm thrilled to see what nice picture the second plant will show me.

    Just started today, but can't figure out how to take a screenshot of it. For some reason, when I use the Print Screen button on windows (which just takes a screenshot) all I get is a solid black box.

      Ended up adding the game to Steam and using Steam's screenshot capture. That was the simplest was without installing additional software.

    This is One of these GREAT idea.
    (1st day here. I wonder how it will be).

    Is it just me, or the ESC key doesn't actually exit?
    it takes me to alt-tab out and then forcefully kill the app.
    Which is quite a pain. Hope it is me being dumb.

    I had this installed on my old WinXP PC that I mainly use for emulators and got about nine days in before I had to reformat the drive. Now I've reinstalled and started again (copied the game DIR but didn't see the bit in the ReadMe where the saves are stored separately :( ) but for some reason I'm having really poor framerate issues. It's as if the character is snapping to the grid instead of smoothly traversing it. I have DX9 installed... mind telling me if there's anything I'm missing that might explain the performance issue? Or is it because I copy-pasted the game DIR from one install of Windows to another? I seem to remember this game being a .ZIP with no registry entries.

    Hi this game is wonderful! I am having trouble however seeing the full range of the screen because of the widescreen ratio and was wondering how to run windowed. I'm running OSX mountain lion on a macbook pro retina display. Any help would be appreciated greatly because I can't see the full plant images or certain parts of the map. THANK YOU! :)

    I just installed the GM version of 10.9 and now Vesper will not launch properly! Any chance of a fix? I was just getting near the end... :(

    I'd love to play this game but when I launch it I see the title screen, press enter and the game quits unexpectedly. I'm running OSX 10.8.3.

    it opens to the title screen but then when I press any button, the game exits and a "app quit unexpectedly" error appears. is clicking through the title screen considered one step?
